Dear future OILS member,
It’s been a very exciting year for the Open Innovation in Life Sciences Association!
After a very successful hybrid #OILS23 conference in October, we are ready for the next edition.
It is our pleasure to invite you to be a part of the Organizing Committee for the next annual OILS conference. This year’s conference will happen with some changes and news.
Joining the conference committee is a fantastic opportunity for early career researchers such as yourself to gain valuable soft skills and experience for your future career whether it will be in academia or industry. By participating in the conference planning you will have the chance to:
· shape the content and format of the next #OILS24 conference focusing on open science and innovation, such as inviting the speakers of your dreams, organising a workshop on topics that interest you, and much more. This is a great chance to build contacts and create a network!
· spice up your CV by acquiring soft skills like project management and communication skills.
· learn how to fundraise from the private sector, write grants, etc. This is a skill that not many ECRs get the chance to practise and an opportunity not to be missed.
· build a professional network among industry, government, and academic sectors through conference planning activities.
Join us on April 17th from 6:00 – 7:00 PM on Zoom to learn more about the what, when, why and how! If you are interested in joining please sign up here to receive the Zoom link.
Attending this meeting is not binding to join the committee or the association, so just drop by and see if this is something for you. Everything for now is on a volunteer basis and you can decide how much you want to be involved and how much you would like to contribute.
If you would like to know about the OILS association itself, have a peek at our website (https://www.openinnovationlifesciences.com/). Our executive board and members will be present at the orientation meeting to answer all your questions.
We are looking forward to meeting you all,
The OILS team.
