Opportunity to conduct master’s thesis/rotation at The Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard

Broad Institute is the world’s leading biomedical research institute dedicated to the mission of using the power of genomics to transform the understanding and treatment of disease. The Manguso Lab at the Broad Institute has created the Tumor Immunotherapy
Discovery Engine (TIDE), a project devoted to applying functional genomics for in vivo discovery of novel cancer immunotherapy targets. The multidisciplinary team of research scientists, computational biologists, and research associates uses cutting edge techniques including but not limited to high-throughput genetic screening, CRISPR/Cas9 genome editing, preclinical murine models for immunotherapy, and single-cell RNA sequencing to improve our
understanding of tumoral mechanisms of immune evasion.
We seek a highly motivated masters students to join our team at the Broad Institute for minimum of 7-9 months. This role will work closely with senior investigators, and requires the ability to communicate effectively, work well in a team setting, and a strong desire to learn new methods. Your work will be central to several major research projects, and co-authorship on high-impact publications is strongly supported. The research will require you to be adaptable and able to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment. Learning new techniques in the lab or from other labs to increase expertise will be encouraged. Candidates should have
