Masters

The base year with VeBiS

In addition to the prestudy-event and the first year’s orientation day, which we are involved in organizing, we also organize a Götti evening, during which you can make contacts with students in higher semesters who you can then pester with all your questions about the study programme. We also organize the freshman’s weekend, which helps you get to know your fellow students. If you want to take a breather after getting started, you can meet like-minded people at our monthly events or at the legendary parties that we organize together with other student associations. If you want something a little quieter, don’t worry: we also organize excursions for you, such as a ski weekend or a visit to the zoo. Or you can leave ETH behind you while reading our student association magazine, the biotikum, which, in addition to exciting topic articles, also publishes important university policy topics and last year’s examination statistics. While in the former we represent the interests of biology students towards the department, the ETH and the VSETH, in the latter we support you in getting above the 4.0 grade mark by organizing exam preparation courses for subjects in the basic exam and providing you with summaries from students in higher semesters.

What to do if I have suggestions, questions or problems?

We are always available to discuss questions, suggestions and problems about your studies and VeBiS. Either you contact the semester representatives, you visit us in our office in HXE B25, or you write us an email.

How do I become a member?

To profit from our wide range of offers, all you have to do is tick the VSETH membership box in myStudies (mystudies.ethz.ch).
