Board

As president, I am responsible for leading the board meetings (VS) and ensuring that the board works well together. I also represent the voice of the students in the departmental conference (DK), the teaching commission (UK), the student association council (FR), and the members' council (MR).

Otherwise, I am the first point of contact for all other matters that do not fall under a specific department.

As Kulturi, I help organise events and get-togethers that provide students with some fun variation to the daily ETH routine.

As treasurer, I am responsible for VeBiS’s finances. I keep the accounts, manage our bank accounts and keep track of the budget as well as our day-to-day income and expenditure.

I also support the executive committee with financial matters and oversee our events from budget planning right through to final accounts. At the end of the association’s financial year, I draw up the annual accounts and ensure that everything remains transparent and accountable from a financial perspective.

Together with Emma, I support students by handling feedback on lectures and block courses and by organizing exam preparation courses.

We plan social events such as the end-of-semester apéro, Götti evening, and Ersti tours. In addition, we run the Industry x Academia event and hand out chocolates at Easter and Christmas.

Together with Jirui, I ensure university life goes beyond theory.

We organize exam prep (PVKs), manage course feedback, and provide career guidance through events like 'Industry x Academia'.

We also foster community with social gatherings, from end-of-semester drinks to seasonal chocolate treats.

I represent the biology students within the Department of Biology.

This includes participating in teaching committee meetings (UK) and departmental conferences (DK).

I represent the interests of biology students within VeBis’s parent organisation, the VSETH,
on the Student Association Council (FR) and, together with our delegation, on the Members’ Council (MR).

I am responsible for VeBiS's contacts with companies and sponsors. I organise the BioTalks, where guests from research and industry talk about their careers, and, together with HEAT, the Lifescape job fair.

My aim is for you to see biology beyond the lecture hall, in how it is applied in research, start-ups and industry, and to discover where your degree can take you.

My role as the Board Member for Communications and Design is to ensure that everyone knows what’s going on here at VeBiS.

I manage our social media channels and the newsletter to keep our members informed about upcoming events and activities.

I also design new VeBiS merch, such as hoodies, T-shirts, mugs and much more. And, by doing so, enhance the style on the ETH campuses.

As editor in chief of the Biotikum, I work in collaboration with my commission to oversee the writing and publication of our beloved magazine.

Additionally, I represent the interests of the Biotikum on the VeBiS Board.

I am responsible for the VeBiS website and ensure that everything is functioning correctly. I post events and news, and ensure the calendar is kept up to date. I am also here to answer any IT-related questions.
