CURE-C is an ETH student team designing and building a total artificial heart. We take part in the HeartHackathon, a yearly competition between universities from all over the world. This year it is held near Shanghai!
A project like this sounds like pure engineering, and our team is indeed full of engineers. But the device has to live inside a body, and that is a biology question. A couple of our sub-teams work on exactly that, and they need people who bring a different way of thinking.
If you study biology or a related field and want to use your knowledge in a hands-on, engineering-related project, this is a good place to do it.
